do not tip the waiter at Chili's!!!!!!

Last night Jerry and I went to Chili's to use a gift certificate one of my kids gave me for christmas and it was one of the worst experiences eating out I've ever had. The waiter had no idea what he was doing. First off he tried to take our order about a minute after we sat down. WHen we said we needed more time he left only to return 30 seconds later. Then when he took our order he didn't both to ask me what sides I wanted with my meal, so I had to call him back to tell him. When our food came they gave Jerry the wrong order. He ordered steak and portobella fajitas and they gave him chicken. When he called the waiter over to fix it the waiter argued with Jerry and said that you had to specially request steak. That makes no sense when it says specifically in the menu steak. The waiter then blames the kitchen for giving him the wrong order. The waiter also reached right over me to grab the gift certificate off the table while I was in the middle of eating without saying anything. He brought us the bill before we had finished eating too. AT that point he hadn't bother to give us any refills either even though when he reached over me he almost hit my empty glass. Another waiter was kind enought to give me a refill though.(I should have tipped him instead) Our fabulous waiter even messed up the bill. The gift certificate was for one FREE entree with no qualifications. SO he applies it to the cheaper one but only after tax is applied to it. He also hand wrote the changes to the bill by manually subtracting the price of the free entree. We complained about this and he said that's what his manager told him to do so we asked to talk to the manager or have him fix it. He fixed it. We debated giving him any tip at all since he was rude most of the night but decided to give him a $1 tip. I think we should have tipped the hostess or the other waiter instead since they were nicer.
