Yaaah, Hard work really does pay off. I believed that my hard work in college was going un-noticed, but it appears someone actually cares ;D
So far I've finished 42 credits, and I'm taking 15 this semester (Into to photography, Into to public speaking, Biology, and Personal fitness). I'll graduate by Summer A.
Either way, my current GPA is a 3.71. If I get straight A's this semester (which I plan to) I'll have a 3.8. Let me tell you, getting a 3.71 at Miami Dade wasn't cake (endless hours and nights studying). I thought it would be easy, seeing its Miami-Dade, but I was quite wrong. I believed no one (but God) noticed my hard work, but lately thats changed.
Besides making the Deans List for High GPA every semester, I was invited to join Phi Theta Kappa (An International 2 year College Honor Society). Both the Deans list for GPA and being a member of Phi Theta Kappa go on my Transcript, which is niiiice.
I've also been invited to compete in a bunch of exclusive scholarships (which I don't need, thank God).
As I got home today, I received a letter from the National Deans List. I opened it and found out that someone at school (either a professor, a leadership group, or a dean/someone in admistration) nominated me for the thing. After reading through it and checking out the website, its quite prestigious.
Got me kinda excited :D. Only 1/2 of a 1% of college students (.5% for you math majors) are nominated for The National Deans List. Thats out of 2500 colleges. Thats quite a number!
Either way, I'm really hoping to get accepted. Check out their site to learn a bit more. Gods great, huh?
If I get in, my attention will next be focused on making it into Thetta Alpha Kappa, which is a National Honor Society for Religious Studies/Theology . Mmm, good stuff huh? Getting into that will be when I enter the Religion program at FIU.
Well prayers are always welcomed, and are thus returned. God Bless!
