For Better or Worse
I'm in my second week at Fresh Direct- and for those who don't know about the company- Mainly we are an online grocer. Customers can go on-line to purchase anything from fruits, foods, soda, paper towels. Anything that you can buy at a supermarket and this is delivered to your house. It's a cool concept. What I do there though is I'm a recruiter, meaning that I hire the people to work at the plant. It can be a bit stressful because I'm dealing with a lot of people who mainly speak Spanish or who graduated high school. It's a demanding job, but I'm learning. I think that I'm being underpaid though. I'll see if maybe I can get a raise after 3 months.
So, I'm learning to drive. I know it's kinda pathetic to learn now at 23 but rather now than never. I'm getting the hang of it. I desperately want to get a car, especially to get to work. The walk to this place is brutal. I take the 5 hr class next Wed, and from there I can take my road test. Sweet!
