I Made Today a Good Day
After my horrendous day yesterday, i was determined to make my day today better. Why? Well for starters, bad days suck and two in a row are just terrible. Secondly, and most importantly, today is the day my very best friend in the whole wide world came home.
Jeff, my best friend, has been in Nepal for the past two and a half weeks completely incommunicado. It would not have been so bad had i not had to deal with family shenanagins on Easter, bought my prom dress (kill meee) and got published again; all of which are things you share to your best friend. Dont mis understand me and i was so thrilled for this oppurtunity for him, its really great and i was insanely proud of him. But doesnt mean i missed him any less. So today he came home, and tomorrow he's probably going to be in school and if not then i know for sure he'll be there friday and im just mega mega excited to see him!

part two i wanna share with you all is a poem i wrote recently. As you may or may not know its National Poetry Month!! thus i am doing my annually poem a day. Previously this month I wrote a poem that is in fact dedicated to all my fellow fangirl friends...(id share but i think im too embarrassed by it haha And for monday i wrote this gem. It is titled only with Monday's date
April 12th
Froot Loops
Circles of sugar
No bigger than a nickel.
Brightly colored circles,
Meant to further entice
To gobble up them up
The child who was already
Convinced by the smiling
Toucan on the box
Brainwashed by TV.
Circles named thus,
Fooling weak minds
To think they aren’t
Too unhealthy.
In *that* world they are
Mislabeled Frootes…
He ate them; looped in time
She bought them; timeline wrong
We know,
We have it
As a symbol
Of their love.
Today I eat them, celebrating
Their unity
And ours.
