I intended to post this tomorrow so that all of you that stalk me via FB could also look at the pictures buut i just wrote a badass poem about my night and so i decided that i couldnt wait cuz i wanted to share this poem with the fucking world!! =]
About my past day or so.....
OMG where do I start?
Lunch. We, the entire Bayman family plus Katie David’s girlfriend, all went out to lunch. It was pretty awesome. We have not all been together in ages, possible ten years since that’s about how long Darren’s been living in San Diego. Then we went back to the house and did gifts. Dave got me the funniest card but his inscription was sweet and I almost cried. I guess I miss my brothers though I don’t really think about it, and I guess that’s why I love Jeff so much cuz he’s like my brother but I get to see him all the time…for now. He actually left today, mom and father both almost cried, awkwardd. haha moving on, Darren got me a laptop case…haven’t decided if I like it tee-hee…and Nicole got me Oh The Places You’ll Go by the legendary and just awesome Dr. Seuss….oh and her and I are going to Disney World starting on july 10th. And we’ll be in the ESPN Zone there for the finale of the World Cup. YEUP my summers great :)
I guess with the actual graduation was alright. That was long and really hot and not exactly worth the wait cuz honestly the ceremony was just long and really hot. Haha legit my dress was nice and cool and I woulda been ok had I not been sitting in the sun in that damn cap and gown. Ok first off all who the FRAK decided that those things were what were going to where at graduation? Couldn’t we just do a sash or something especially if we are going to be graduating in SUMMER when its HOT!? Anyways yeah I probably lost weight just sitting there in the sun. thank the gods I didn’t get sunburned!! Haha yeah soo my grad was ok, the speeches were long and lame except the Student Council presidents haha I love that boy. He’s great, really sweet and genuine and great. It was even better than the Validictorians speech, poor Meg had to go after Chris and is she no public speaker and he totally is lol but yeah so the ceremony was ehh. Not everything that some people seem to build it up to be. Afterwards I saw my family before taking off to find my friends. I saw Jeff and Tony was there too! Tonys wife is the other French teacher that’s why. And then I saw my one group and then I saw Mr. Evans which kinda broke my heart all over again. I started to cry a little and he half put his arm around me. Then I asked a friend of mine who happened to be nearby if she could take our pic. I put my arm around him and he did the same and then like leaned his head against mine. Awh. I looked at the pic later….aka today…he has a sad look on his face and that makes my heart break more. I am totally gonna miss him loads.
After graduation I went home and caught the USA World Cup game on repeat! OMG they are entering the round of 16 ON TOP OF THE GROUP!!! Good for the USA its about time we had a quasi decent team. England advanced too!!! Yayy Gerarrd and Terry!! And ofcourse MY BOYS ADVANCED!!!! That being said, im missing the games due to orientation on Saturday bleehhh. In much better world cup news ITALY IS NOT IN THE WORLD CUP!!! MUAHAHAHAHAHA THOSE BASTARDS GOT ELIMINATED!!! SUCK ON THAT YOU DIVING DIVA DOUCHES!!! HAHAHAHAA!!!! *ahem*
Anyways so I went home ate dinner watched World Cup and changed into my Project Graduation shirt. Ok so let me explain what that it is. Project Graduation is this parent organized event that takes place the night that we graduate. The parents pick and organize for whoever signs up to come to go to a secret location and spend the whole night until the next morning there. It was founded so that rather than go get fucking wasted on the night they graduated and have god knows what happen the kids could have fun together in a sober way. (Awkward True Fact: My brother Darren’s senior class didn’t have project grad, but the class of his did…so basically its his classes fault it was established XD LOL) So they take them to places like the YMCA (local youth center) or Funplex and places like that. But nope. We’re the class of TWENTY-TEN!!! Go big or go home. So where did we go? Dave and Busters which is a huge game arcade kind of thing. But we didn’t got to just any Dave and Busters. OH NO! We. Went. To. TIMES SQUAREE!!!! Hahahaha best thing everrrr. There were 7 school buses just PACKED with about half of the SEN10R class that just rolled up in front of it at about 10/1030ish at night and every last kid was clapping and stomping the bus floor or pounding the roof while screaming and chanting “TWEN-TY TEN! TWEN-TY TEN! TWEN-TY TEN!!” omggg hahaha tourists on the streets stopped, stared, and took our picture lmfao at one point I noticed one guy doing it so I stuck my head out the window screamed “CLASS OF TWENTY TEN BITCHES YEAAH!!!!” then threw up the double peace sign and stuck my tongue out like a fucking rockstar…and the guy took my picture hahahaha garuntee its either already up or soon will be on his facebook tagged “crazy American high school girl.” Hahaha LIFE! The cops actually came over and were like “congrats on the graduation!” and we were like “YEAAAHH!! THANK YOU NYPD!!” hahaha then we went up and into the facility and just played games and I gots two teddy bears from all the tickets I got =] yeah it was great. AND THEN there was a hypnotist LMFAO all three of my friends who wanted to be hypnotized got hypnotized and HOLY SHIT WAS IT HYSTERICAL!!!! Especially Sam!! OMG hahaha never gonna forget that everrr XD When it was done everybody kinda just putsed around. Some people played games other kinda just hung out and ate a little breakfast as it was 4/430 am. I was munching on a delicious NYC bagel and got curious what the streets looked like so I headed for the nearest window. WOW! Never have I ever seen NYC that dead. I have lived near it all my life and been there pretty late, though admittedly never that late. But still. It is fucking Times Square. And it was just dead. I saw a few cars, like 5 most of which were cabs go by and then a few pedestrians…maybe 6? But there was nobody. For ‘the city that never sleeps’ it was so sleeping. Not long after that we left. Very different bus ride home haha we all pretty much conked out, even me and I don’t sleep in cars and buses or airplanes. But anyways. We were all on the bus and when we left the Lincoln Tunnel going around the ramp and up to Route 80, the skyline was on our right and thus so was the east and I turned my head to take a last look at NYC and the New Yorker hotel since that’s where Nikola lived and I fangirl him like no other and there. There was the most magnificent sunrise. Hanging in the sky like a medallion of galactic fury in its fiery birth was the sun muting all else in the sky to monotonous bleached shade of gray including the clouds attempting to wrap around its neck like a meager scarf. Scorching the sky but cuddling all else in its orange light it hung there, the unmoving guardian of world that moves so fast we don’t even feel it.
Just like the teachers in high school. Always saying, get involved embrace it. It goes so fast. And it does.
And now about this poem. I just legit wrote it all of like two minutes ago, you can see i would up borrowing lines from it for my little update but i couldnt put it any other way haha so here is the poem:
Project Graduation
As the school bus rattled out
Of the Lincoln Tunnel putting
The City in which our bodies
Had been exhausted by a night
Full of game playing, cheering, laughter
And friendship just to our right.
Leaning around my now un-hypnotized friend
I strained to catch one last
Glimpse of the city that never sleeps
But certainly slept last night compared
To all of us, I saw it.
Gray and blue, those colors in the sky
Are ours no more. Ours are now
The varied colors of higher education
Separation, farewells and hellos.
Hanging in the sky like a medallion of galactic
Fury in its fiery birth was the sun muting all else
In the sky to monotonous bleached shade of gray and blue
Including the clouds attempting to wrap around
Like a meager scarf, scorching the sky but cuddling
All else in its orange light it hung there,
The unmoving guardian of a world that moves
So fast we don’t even feel it.
Just like the teachers who always said,
Get involved embrace it. It goes so fast.
And it did.
Our past reflected in the dawn of our future.
