Going to school & working over 40 hours a week is amazing. What you're studying isn't nearly so important as that little piece of paper you take away with you... unless you're going to be a nurse or nuclear physicist. Which I don't see you doing.
5 years is a hell of a lot better than fifteen. And if you're contributing to the cost, I don't understand the complaint, but *shrug* I chased "my" teenager out of my house and a hundred miles away, so I'm not so good at the communication with "kids" thing either.
See look, my answer to your rant is already longer than your rant. You are a girl who says what she means, short and sweet.
Its a parent thing. Come on they have treated us this way since high school.
A week ago I told my parents I wanted to go to medical school. My dad thinks its the worst idea I have ever had. even tho I have a 3.8 gpa. Then last week I got my first test grade of the semster, a 94, my mom's response was "oh thats all" . The sad thing is they think they are just encouraging us to do better.
Follow your dreams girl. Only you know what you should do with your life.
You and I both know you are Not that awful of a person. You know how your parents are. the sad part is that they will probably always be like that. Are you happy? Are you trying to make yourself happy if you aren't? Working full time and going to school is crazy difficult, you are kicking ass at life, so, screw what your mom says, keep up the good work!
Speaking of doing what you love, how is the art school search going?? Are you excited for HP?? I'm wicked psyched! hehe :D
