(no subject)
So I'm very excited to announce two new additions to my strange little family! For my birthday (Today BTW) I decided to treat myself to some new pets. I now have two giant african millipedes. The smaller one is 6 inches long, and very curious. The larger one is 7 inches long and very shy. They both love cucumbers. I still haven't picked names for them yet, but that always takes me a week or two. And, they might be having babies (not entirely sure yet, but some of them were mating at the pet store, unfortunatley it's a little difficult to sex millipedes so I don't know if I have males or females. Every book/website has told me something different as far as determining the sex goes) While baby millipedes make me happy, the idea that these guys can lay up to 2000 eggs at once kinda freaks me out.
