(no subject)
'yule log' tonight...actually, more like <5 minutes ago.
yes, the lights were beautiful, the atmosphere was heart-warming, the people and speeches cheerful and amusing....and then i felt sick.
a sickness that started in the pit of my stomach and eventually made me feel nauseaus.
yes i touched my sprig of holly to the yule log. no i did wait around in the mass of people to throw it in the fire.
sure i missed out on cider and cookies, but, more importantly, i left before getting the chance to play with fire.
and for a pyro, that's a pretty big deal.
so after quickly excusing myself and passing off my holly to someone else to throw in the fire i came back to my room.
on the walk back i pondered which was better, which i would rather have:
the feelings of apathy or the feelings which made me sick.
i'm starting to think that the apathetic state was a blessing not a curse.
