Call to action...
Okay people I work for Starbucks (most know this) and most of the time I love it.. and will even defend the company... but today... Starbucks has really fucked up...
As of right now... all nonfat, sugarfree, no whip drinks will be refered to as "skinny"... I'm not gonna get into all the fatphobia implicit in this word... and instead will ask those of you on my journal who go to or could go to a Starbucks to do so... and fill out a customer complaint form...
Please fill out the form... they will send it in for you... seriously today at work 7 of my coworkers and myself including my manager and assistant manager complained about the new policy... if enough ppl have a problem with it we can get the company to repeal the decision...
I for one will not be using the new "skinny" terminology and neither will most of my coworkers... but employees will not be enough to stop this ... please please take action...
I know this isn't like... ending war, or bringing about equality but its a simply action... and could do some real work... thanks for reading
