there truly is no place like home
Yeah, I'm a livejournal bum...
So, I just got home from Rotary Leadership Camp- it felt so much longer than four days! It's pretty weird to be home now too- because I was living in a dorm, doing everything for myself, and working my toosh off, and now I'm home for the summer and have virtually no direction at all. It's an odd feeling... There were definitely a few things I would change about the way the whole camp was set up- essa, but I really loved getting to know so many really intelligent, creative girls from different backgrounds...
I'm having so much trouble just stepping back from everything now- in so many different respects. For instance, in camp, pretty much all we did for four days straight was work of some respect. Plus, we had so much self-imposed stress about the ridiculous competition that we were in. And what came of it? A plastic trophy! I woke up at 5:30 for the last four days for a freaking plastic trophy?! Talk about over-invested. So now, after being so "go-go-go" now I'm home, and am having trouble just stopping. This has been happening to me a lot lately..oyyy
