I've been sort of picky and choosy with my fan fic reading, but I wanted to have a permanent place on my LJ for fics that I've read and just adored, so here it is. Please put these fics on your "To Read" List - They are well worth it! Also, if you have any fics you'd like to share with me, please comment!
Smallville
Twilight by omega31 :This is a suspenseful, gripping story, the third Smallville fic by omega31 features a guest appearance by one of DC's biggest superheroes. As far as I'm concerned, this fic is truly one of the best Smallville fan fictions I've ever read. For those who need a ship, it's Chlark, and has some fairly heavy Chloe moments. Definitely worth a place on any Smallville fan fic to read list. Also check out "Conduit" and "Empire" by omega31. They can be found on K-site as well (I'm not including them on this list officially, because they were written in 2006 and hopefully on his lj...HINT, HINT...very soon..)
Special Projects Series by pen37 : Smallville/Supernatural crossovers either work or they don't and I think pen37's series works very well. I'm usually left kind of cold by crossovers, but these are very good. The pairing is Chloe Sullivan/Dean Winchester.
Community Service - Probably the only Clex I can stand and done perfectly. Young!Lex and kid!Clark. carcassi really does a wonderful job of giving us a realistic and plausible meeting between these future adversaries.
Something To Do With You - Clark and Chloe know they're in love with each other but don't act on it. laurelnola gives us some Chlark angst that makes sense.
I Heard The Bells on Christmas Day - Christmas sweetness, but done so well. laurelnola is really the penultimate writer of baby and young Clark in my opinion. She captures that warm homelike feeling, and her Martha Kent is wonderful.
Our House - This is especially a favorite - it was written for me! (YAY) and posted on my birthday!! (YAY)
Pass Me Another Gravy Boat - GIRL POWER! This fic made me laugh, laugh and then laugh some more...
The Office:
Since Feeling Is First - Loved this! dollsome is sooo good...really, I have yet to read a story of hers I don't like, so check out her fic archive: follow the link and see for yourself. (I'm not officially reccing original fics, but her "Fairish and the Slovenly Goatherd" is awesome...)
Supernatural:
The First Born - Stellar Supernatural fic by just_for_spite. Angels, Demons and the Winchesters. Enough said. I've posted the link for Chapter 12, because there is a really helpful index of all the chapters at the top. Definitely DON'T read the end first!!
kellifer-fic offered these gems of Supernatural fic....they aren't slashy or sexy, but some great brother interaction under, ehm, unusual situations:
Doll House - A curse has some hilarious repercussions for the Winchester Brothers.
Doll Day Afternoon - Dean continues to deal with the effects of a curse.
Dolls of War - More fun with Sam and Dean
