09.23.2008.T wazemmes chinese groceries
went to wazemmes open market today.. uso din pla dto mga garapal na kopya..:) there is one famous biscuit brand here called prince.. in the market we found prinsipe biscuits with exaclty the same packaging haha.. meron dn mga pringles na 1 euro each pero baka expired na kaya d ako bumili.. :)
they also sell roasted chicken in the market for 5 euros a whole piece.. it was relatively cheap because meals here usually cost 5euros. 2 persons could already share on one chicken.. ( with the exception of ken of course..) so there we bought the chicken for lunch.. hati kami ni meki, haha one of the best things we ate here in France so far.. :)
backtracking.. after the market.. (and before lunch) we braved going to "exotic cuisine" store.. haha and guess what. found things that were nowhere near exotic.. it actually felt like home.. haha 4 chinese groceries lined the street. and the things that they think are exotic arent really exotic at all.. siomai, dumplings, nori sheets, sushi mats, instant noodles, oyster sauce, soy sauce, and......
jack and jill potato chips! cebu philippine dried mangoes! champorado! arroz caldo! datu puti!
todo cool! haha it was weird because the products were definitely Filipino, even the packaging except that the nutritional facts, and everything on the back is written in french. also the prices are skyrocketing! grr.. haha but then it was worth it because even for a few minutes i felt that i am not an alien living in a very different world. it was a place where i thrive in.. also, i somehow practiced my chinese tongue witht the clerk in there.. quite fun! :)
I bought 4 packs of instant noodles.. ( the imported Ramen from japan which i like) it only costs 0.4 euros so sulit na.. hehe
then went to nedflanders class.. sleepfest.. then went home to plan plan plan..planned up to 2am.. felt really sleepy once more..
i just want to sleep sleep sleep...
