its been a long time
According to my lj home page i havent posted in about 4 months. Alot has happened in that amount of time. That may have been around the time when I got cast as frenchy in grease. that was an interesting experiance. It was fun and it fits me totally. I learned i never wanted to work with that director again. He cut so much out of the script. Didnt give anyone character notes. So the cast was very disgusted with him. I did end of choreographing some of the dances which was fun. I have been doing theatre for years and i wasnt sad to see it end. There was another show that was comming up. The odd couple the female version which i was able to stage manage. That was a good money maker for the summer time. Nothin much really to say about that. It gave me something to do while jim was doing urinetown at essex community college. We had decided we needed break doing theatre. So i choreographed the jukebox show and now eagarly awaiting auditions for scrooge the musical. The director is awesome and we have a really good musical director and i'm the choreographer again. I would like ot start auditioning for community theatre again. But i have reasons that i havent done that either. The dinner theatre pays but it is becomming more and more unreliable. The shows are selling and its not that they are bad or anything cause they are really good but they dont advertise. The kids show has also come to an end. But my heart wasnt into it anyway anymore. The last show was mary poppins which was very good but becasue it was on broadway it had to be switched to secret garden. It was a great show but to long for kids to understand. Its more for kids of a middle school level. Thats the theatre story. Moving on to other parts of life.
I have been working at the still in timonium for about 6 months now maybe more. I started out making good money there but it went down and i wasnt making enough to support myself. They dont advertise either from what i heard the management talking about. So jims friend at work had decided to open is own business called waiters on wheels in dundalk. It a catering company. So i quit the still and went there for the grand opening. After 2 days of no business calls they said they were going to can that company and asked me to me a telemarketer to call people and tell them how they can save money on insurance. The owner had done insurance sales for years. But they were only going to pay 7 an hour. as we all know telemarketers get yelled at all the time. soo i said thanks but no thanks. so currently i am jobless. and very upset about it. I did call around to see who was hiring. I had an interview at PF Changs yesterday. They are supposed to call me back this afternoon about a second interview. Considering i will be working the lunch shift i went in around lunchtime to check it out. It was very busy. I also went to eat there last week and asked the server about the training process and i took mental notes in the steps she had to take with every table. So we shall see what happens with that.
Also jim and i bought a puppy named AJ. He is a pug just like the one in Men in Black. we figured since we always wanted a dog and we currently werent doing any theatre we would have plenty of time for him. And it being summer it would be easier to train him becasue of the multiple times we would be ventureing outside for him to do his business. Now after having him for about 3 months we are 98% accident free in the house. He is a very playful dog and loveable.
We are currently looking for roommates. Emily and bobby had to move out for various reasons. Eileen stayed here during the summer.She helped us train aj she shes an experianced dog owner. Then she left to go back to school. now i miss her. she was so organized.
If anyone knows anyone looking for a place to stay let me know. I will give them a good deal.
