Hetero. Not my type of music. I like the fact that they're clearly culturally different and celebrate the rebel feel and so am glad that there are people who are into them. Anytime something positive and outside the norm is out there then it is a very good thing. Anytime someone sings of feelings that are hard to describe otherwise giving an insight into them even when it could be over the top is something that can reveal by being overdramatic ideas about feelings that we might miss otherwise.
I dig plenty of heart warming songs including "Hello in There" by John Prine and "Hallelujah" sung by KD Lang. But I'm not into Christina Aguilera and other mainstream singers. If the song were sung by Nina Simone or someone else I'd probably prefer it. Plus I do like Plenty of weird music. Just not Antony & the Johnsons.
I'm an atheist, and if you check thru' youtube vids you'd find most comedians, for example George Carlin "When Will Jesus Bring The Pork Chops", are atheist. Richard Dawkins is a personal hero. Say for example Noah's Ark, completely impossible. It's a shame that people are dissuaded from preaching Secular Humanism in this country. I could write extensively here. Sometimes a feeling of being a part of something bigger can make people enjoy life more or feel more powerful on handling challenges. We are a part of something bigger: humanity. You want to make your human beings survive just like any other creature on the planet. Superstitions are okay, but sometimes you can cross the line and get involved in some devious anti-women litigation. Sadly enough the Catholic church is specifically involved in practices that are directly involved in limiting women's rights. However there are elements within the Catholic church groups of women such as Catholics for Choice who will always have problems getting their way in allowing Catholic hospitals to dispense the Morning After Pill, birth control, and condoms for example. I do not know the status of sex education in Catholic schools.
I do believe that there may have been aliens on the planet at one time considering the Nazca lines in Peru and in the Mid East and am fascinated by Stonehenge and Easter Island.
