So the Croatia trip kinda fell apart, a further example of what happens when I don't immediately take command of situations and steer them as they need to be steered. I need to either re-build it, replace it, or relinquish it. I don't really like that last option, so I'm gonna see what I can do about rebuilding. Janiiiiiiiine, answer e-mails, woman. Anyone wanna go to Croatia, or maybe anywhere else in Europe that I haven't been, around May 18 - May 25?
Also, I reaffirmed my belief today that there are only 4 competent people in the world who are capable of properly cutting my hair, and all 4 of them happen to work at the Barber Shop on the corner of Adams and Magnolia. The one here was using the razor to shave the sides of my head down, which is normal, except on the left side he went too far up and flattened the edge of the top of my head. Of course, he didn't make the same mistake on the other side, so now I just look lopsided. It's just as well...if he had done that to the other side too, I just would have ended up looking very pointy. In general, I have a series of complaints about my apperance at the moment...this bum-like scruffiness of mine worked much better when my hair was long, and I might end up shaving it tonight. Here's a handy dandy side-by-side comparison I made instead of doing anything practical, because a man can only read so many Time magazines (already read 5 of 12 that my parents brought me). The first picture was taken the day before I left for Spain, and the second one the day after I got back from Paris:
Already looking ahead to what I'm doing when I get back to America, and already the list is too long for the time I have in summer (and this is with me coming back than I had planned, too). Here's a sample: get scuba certification (finally), join Mensa (shut up), make posters (a combined photography/computer editing project I came up with myself to create posters out of pictures I take of things that represent London, HB, and USC for me, and then printing the posters at Kinko's), write scripts (one with Jesse, one on my own), and start law school applications. Oh, that last one's the real fun part.
At least my schedule for the fall semester kicks your grandma's ass. Class on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 am to 2 pm and from 3:30 pm to 5 pm. That's it. Nothing on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays. Sorry, kids, you can't all have schedules as bad-ass as mine...it would make it harder for me to secure my own. Methinks the classes won't be too hard either...excellent. Indeed, one of my teachers made the top 10 easiest on Senate Course Guide, and has high marks on effectiveness and recommendation at the same time...woot for seniordom. No discussions, no labs: class as God intended it. Make sure to note all the times and days you're in class and I'm not, suckers. =P
