So I guess this is growing up

So whilst combing my hair this morning, I saw this rogue white flash. I've always had an albino hair somewhere on the back of my head, and it's hard to find, so I figured I'd found it again. But this was different. It was soft and thin and just as wavy as my other hair. So, I followed it... to my temple. Where it was joined by three others. I plucked one of them out to check the color, and it was pure white. Not gold or blonde, but white white white. There was no evidence of any white on the opposite side, which is odd. At any rate, I wonder how I didn't notice before. There's a lot of blonde highlights in that area, but I've never seen white. *sigh*

So, again, mom's genes win out - though she was all-white in her 20's, I believe.

So I'm finally feeling a little better. All this week I was dealing with what appeared to be another attack of norovirus, but after six days of symptoms, I figured it just had to be something else. So after some sleuthing I found that my symptoms were similar to an intestinal parasite, like giardia. So, I took a few of the home remedies detailed there, and wouldn't you know, I felt better within an hour. I'm still not 100%, but I'm keeping up with my 'medicine.' So far, it seems to be working - After a week, I can finally eat again. Now that's a relief!

So, in better news, I have two job interviews this week. One is at Oregon Screen Impressions, for I believe a drafter position. I don't really remember because I applied in October - before I left Nike. Apparently there was some issue with hiring, and they're just now interviewing for the position. I figure, hey, why not - I like the company and it's only ten blocks from my fave new yarn shop. Can't complain :)

The other - I have an interview at KnitPicks! I was shocked that for one thing the VP actually called instead of emailed - I'm so used to the graphic designers' fear of phones. So, it was welcome and exciting to actually speak to her. So, monday at 2, I'll be up in Vancouver. I'm keeping my fingers crossed... I'm excited that I was actually called in for an interview, so I must have at least some worthy credentials :) Right now I've got some homework to do, to make sure I've got all of my ducks in a row. But so far, the job sounds like it's right up my alley.

So, all that's left to do is hang out with the Mythbusters marathon and some yarn. :)

wish me luck!

sick, job hunting
