Not sure if the quote is exactly right, but I think I understand what Milo was trying to say. Basically we're all the same on the inside. We all want love, happiness and an endless supply of toys and treats. Milo is the idealist. Otis, on the other hand, is the realist. I used to cut my cat's whiskers all the time... not like ultra short, but enough to make them scared to go outside! :)

and props to the no Tom Cruise... he's such an idiot! UGH!

HSP- did you read that book ? OMG it was like "hey that's me! I'm not a weirdo!"

I checked it out from the library but only read portions. I think my daughter and I are both HSP because when things get too loud or there's too many people (like at a museum or party), we get irritable and overwhelmed. I also seem very tuned into people's emotions. Before I got counseling and learned about enmeshment, I had a habit of internalizing others' moods (i.e., if my boss was mad, I would feel mad), but I'm getting better at not letting others influence my feelings. But I still kind of know when something is bothering a person. Maybe this trait will help if I ever become a poetry therapist.
