Something is going on with my boss, and it is making her moody and very formal. Which is better than the alternative, but somewhat annoying.
I've learned a great deal at this plce and I love what I do, but I'm starting to wonder if it's time to move on. I worry that I will end up going somewhere where I will have considerbly less autonomy and responsibility. Yet at my job, there is tremendous pressure to be driven and ambitious, more so than I am, frankly, and while flaws are quickly pointed out, excellent work is assumed and expected and therefore not something to praise. And the pay. The pay.
So, luckily, in this economy, the job listings that have caught my eye have been fed jobs. I might as well update my resume and see if CRS or GAO or the Census Bureau is interested. I think I can still help the communities we advocate for in these positions. I guess we'll see.
