When I get way, way behind on LJ, it snowballs. I can't bear to post, since there are too many things to post about, and I can barely keep up with my friends page and end up missing everything. Maybe if I took the communities off, now that I don't read LJ every day...
Anyway, despite my optomistic update, my laptop is indeed a paperweight. I could pay someone to fix it or wait and buy a spankin' new one, which I will probably do eventually. It was already frustrating because I couldn't use it in all the ways I wanted to (burn cds, for a very major example) and it would freeze up and be annoying in general. I am aware that my first inclination is to throw out whatever has broken rather than try to repair it. Of course, we're usually talking about cheaply-made clothes or plastic kitchen items, not computers.
So I'll catch up soon. I predict a busy and frustrating remainder of 2007. The dogs are good, though.
