My camera is broken, so I can't show you the most gorgeous bouquet of flowers I've ever seen in my entire life.
Jeff has a coworker, Lori, who is just about the most giving and wonderful human being on the planet. For some reason, she thinks that *I* am, though, because I found out that she likes the ridiculous peanut-butter-spread-saltines (ick) that Jeff loves with his lunch, so I started packing her a set along with his. I'll send along other things here and there, like the all-natural cookies from Trader Joe's with info on the nutritional content (she's all about her health, especially holistic care and organic food) on a sticky, or something. In return, she'll go to the farmer's market and get me fresh scones or some other delicious confection; she'll write me thank you notes in her beautiful calligraphy; she gave me a $60 gift certificate to Lush for a graduation present. Today, she went out and bought the most gigantic bouquet from a florist and sent them home with Jeff. They are just amazing -- roses, lillies, gerbera daisies, irises; it looks like it must have cost about $100, given the size, quality and types of flowers. It's just beautiful.
I have to admit that I'm a little overwhelmed, but if you could meet her, you would understand. She's just vivacious. Sarah, you know her! She's just an amazing woman. I have to think of something nice to do for her, especially because I was having a terrible afternoon, but for now, I'm just going to enjoy them.
