[Artist Spotlight] MBLAQ
For those that know me, you'll know that I'm a fangirl - and not JUST a fangirl, but a totally crazy one too!!
You'd also know that I love things related to Japanese culture. (For example, J-Rock, manga, NEWS (JE), sushi/sashimi, Japanese language, etc.) Actually, I'm learning (or attempting to learn anyway) Japanese right now!! Though, unlike most people I don't have an official sensei...but, I have Japanese friends that sometimes teach me - does that count?
Anyways, on to the main thing: MBLAQ
I have the weirdest ways about finding out about artists. MBLAQ is no exception. However, this isn't a totally random post since I found out them through LJ! =D
A few days ago, when I was checking my friend page, I decided to check mp4all for some updates. While scrolling through the most recent entries, I saw this screencap of an MV...MBLAQ? Who's that? So I decided to do some research on them. And according to Wiki, they are a boyband that was created by...RAIN?!?!? RAIN??!?!? As in super-tall-and-uber-cool-dancer-and-korean-singer-that-i-once-loved-but-then-he-got-sued-and-had-to-stop-activities-for-some-time RAIN??!??????!?!?!??. Wow, I couldn't believe that Rain had created this group! So, of course, I decided to check out their songs! The first one I came across was "Oh Yeah!", but I didn't really like it all that much... Afterwards, I found "Y" and OMG was it ever an awesome song!!!!!! XXXDDDD Super catchy and totally cool, it didn't take much to get it stuck in my head.
Anyways, in short, they're prett cool! ^ ^ OMGOSH~ Especially MIR!!!!! Actually, I'm still learning the members' names right now...but I know 2!! One is Lee Joon (who's the one in the "story" in the Y MV) and Mir (who's the SUPER CUTE rapper!!!)~~~

EDIT: The screencaps are actually not of Mir... I feel totally stupid for saying this but I mixed up Mir with another member of MBLAQ. The right side plus the top left pics are of Cheon Doong (aka Thunder) and the bottom and middle left are Mir rapping. So, Mir IS the one rapping... OMG I feel so bad now... X[
