Satisfaction

Sep 11, 2007 13:09

So, I was reading an article online today about a company called "Quintessentially". They basically, cater to the uber rich as concierges around the world. i.e. if you're in Vegas and need a pink pony at your 2 year-old daughters birthday party in one hour, Quintessentially makes it happen. Are you in Paris but crave a Chicago style pizza only found in a remote business in downtown Chicago...Quintessentially makes it happen.

While the article was interesting by itself, I found the last line particularly thought provoking.

"Satisfaction, after all, often has little to do with getting what you want - and more to do with the way you get it."

Working in an industry where customer satisfaction is extremely important, this line puzzles me and makes me think about how to best serve my clients.

...more on this later but I'd like to open the floor to your thoughts.

Here's a link to the story, in case you would like to check it out.
