Work?
So I've kind of been promoted, if that's the word for it. I work in on the 8th floor of the SMG building in the Provost/Presidents office. I used to just be an office assistant, shredding papers and the like. Now, however, I am sitting at the reception area with a huge oak desk, floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Charles, a grandfather clock and a great big oak staircase behind me. What do I do in this fabulous office, you ask? I direct people to either go left or right. Left for the President, right for the Provost. I'm not allowed to answer the phones yet, so I just chill out when there is no one that is lost. I don't get paid anymore than I used to, but at least I look like I'm important. And in the end, isn't that what counts?
