*THORK*, yes. It's a little thing called onomatopoeia. That happens to be the precise bit of imitative harmony that Mr. Steele used each time he told the story, and I found it quite apropos. :)

Granted, both Kirk and I are big fans of Mad Magazine's late Don Martin, who was the unchallenged master of onomatopoeia. Imitation's the sincerest form of flattery, so when Kirk came up with the sound of a bird landing on an energized, high-power HF transmitting antenna ("FWAFFT") or the sound of a big truck horn ("FONK"), it was understood that these are tributary as much as descriptive. :)

Great. So he f**cked someone up a little more. Write it down in what he accomplished in his life. I'd have preferred the ending if she'd toed him in the nuts, maced him up the nose, did a kneedrop on his belly, filed charges, sued, and won, leaving him homeless, crazy, and having bowel trouble from that weekend in jail. You know? Or maybe she should have whipped out some ninja stars and just slashed his throat, then walk quietly back to her desk and call the janitor about waste removal.
