(no subject)
i'm tierd, hungry,and lonely.
however, i had a wonderful time rock climbing with the rest of the student ambassadors :-)
yesterday was hectic.i had classes of course, got out of those only to rush home drop off my crap, hop BACK on the bus to get back to the OTHER campus, meet up with the kids i mentor for a field trip to the sports medicine building for a tour and then the double header bball game. i had to leave the womens game early to rush over to the homecoming 2006 marketing committee meeting, immediately following that i rushed BACK over to the siegal center in time to see us make the game point crushin univ. of richmond.as soon as the mens game was starting i had to leave that rush allllll the way back over to the library to hop BACK on the bus in order to get back home to start my hall council meeting on time! ugh..that was a rough and very long day!
today was cool as a cucumber.got up went to tutor my little girl.*hope she did well on her social studies test :-)* i got back to the room to chill a little bit, contacted a few people about runnin for homecoming court, posted some applications outside my door, sent 10 billion emails and then headed back over to the other campus to give my friend an app (she's gonna win..she's drop dead gorgeous 4real..AND very sweet..GO TIANA..WOO HOO!) then went ROCK CLIMBING! mannnn that was the most fun i've had in so long. it was different but i had such a good time. i got a chance to really get to know the other ambassadors which was a plus. we stayed there for a while and i have a pass to go back FOR FREE for 2 wks!
i'm so glad i go to vcu because there are so many opportunites here to try things that i've never done before. i think we may go white water rafting next which i heard was very fun as well. i'm excited.
i'm hopin this homecomin stuff doesnt kick my butt because as the marketing team we have so much to do. gettin the info out about any event is left soley up to us. we carry the pressure of knowing that if anything flops..its falls on us. but i know we're gonna pull through and impress everyone. before we had our first meeting yesterday we had no one runnin for homecomin court but now that i've got the word out there are actually people serious about applyin. and this is only what i've managed to do, there are a few others on the committee and i'm sure they've been able to pull some people too. i'm excited and glad that i'm actually involved in stuff here.i cant wait till homecomin, i heard this one is goin be like 2 wks long..its serious ova here!
