this past weekend was wonderful.
the movie night we had for the residents had a much better outcome than we expected. friday was ram madness at the siegal center, where they raffled off in-state tuition for next semester, parking passes (which btw are $250/semester), nikes, etc.. i was so mad i couldnt go because lord knows i could use free tuition for next semester! so i thought that ram madness was goin to keep people from coming to movie night, but a good amount of people actually showed up.it lasted from about 9p-2:45a.i was soo tierd and ready for it to end. i knew those people had seen those movies before which made me just want to fast forward through the last one. ugh.i was through.then of course i had to stay behind and clean up behind these grown ass people here. popcorn,chips,and empty soda cans everywhere :-/
he stayed with me all weekend :-) he got here around 11p on friday, and even though i knew he didnt feel like watchin those movies, he stayed, smiled, and didnt complain.
saturday we had to get up at 6:45a,well 6:45 for me and 7:45 for him, because i had to go to my first student ambassodor training at 8am! and i had just gone to sleep around 3:15-30. so that lasted to about 3p, because the training was actually us giving tours durin the open house that took place on saturday.it was ok, i just realized how much about the campus i have to learn.its goin to be a little more difficult for me to learn the routes for tours than it may be for the other new ambassadors being that i'm the only one living on a different campus..sucks.while i was in training he went to the mall to get some stuff to put on since he didnt bring any clothes with him, and then took care of some other little stuff. i felt so bad having him wait so long for me to finish. but hey, now he knows his way around richmond 10x better than i ever will.
so after the open house, he came and got me and we went back to my room and of course..went to sleep for a few hours. we woke up starvin so went back over to the other campus grabbed somethin to eat and sat outside to talk because it was sooo nice out there.man the weather was perfect & we had the best candy apple i've ever tasted in my life.or maybe it was just because i havent had one in so long. later we came back to my room, made plans to go back out to find a nice place to hang, but ended up callin it a night and just hoppin in the bed a little after we returned.that was only like somethin to 1a.yea..we went to sleep like we had classes in the mornin or somethin.so what.
sunday we woke up around 10a lounged around,showered, ate, and lounged around some more.we didnt do anything. i was goin with my friends to get our belly buttons pierced, but i didnt feel like gettin up, and i would have had to check him out, and then check him back in again when we had returned,and since he got here on friday it already felt like i had signed him in and out a million times. so he left around 7 somethin.i had the ;-( face. everyone who met him really like him, and are all askin me when he's comin back.lol.that was surprising,not that i though people wouldnt like him, but just because i didnt think that they would all take to him like they did.
it really was nice to have him here this weekend.very comforting
he's been havin some minor crisis up there and sometimes certain girls on my floor irk my nerves, so it was a good break for the both of us.we really enjoyed each others company.
i had an exam in chemistry today that i know i got no less than a B on :)
with the exception of math, my grades are superb! math isnt horrible, but i still think i need a tutor. i just dont have a good teacher.he's a GTA(graduate teachers aid) so he's not good at explaining. he gives us the answer for the quiz we'll have in lab (he teaches lecture, and then i have a math lab class 2),so i do good on my quizzes of course,since he goes over it before we have the lab,but then when i have to do the homework, i get a little stumped.math is more than memorzin formulas.its good to be able to memorze them, but if you dont fully understand the concept you'll be screwed somewhere down the line.he's coo'.but i wish i had one of my math teachers from hs.
i cant wait to go home wednesday for fall break! i would be goin home tomorrow mornin if my math lecture would CANCEL! i already know its not though. of course all my other classes would be canceled though.
i might be goin down nc for winston-salems homecomin on the 29th ..suppose to be havin some good people.i dunno though.i would have to come home 2 weekends in a row.
I never put up the pictures of how my friends decorated my door for my bday.
and this was when i left out at 8a, by the time i got home it was completely covered.
me and my friends were gonna be a litter of puppies for halloween.lol
