Well our trip into the wild west has come and gone. Sin City with Ed was awesome. We tried our best to help it live up to its name ;-) I can't believe we did so much in only 3 1/2 days -- 2 of which I was feeling pretty sick.
The two shows we saw were incredible. Blue Man Group was sooo cool -- anyone who has the chance to see it should definitely do so (there's one in Boston, Jon...)The guys who created it were probably tripping on something at the time, but nonetheless they manifested a unique premise with amazing music. Best percussion I've ever heard. Emily, I thought about you the whole time!
Cirque du Soleil Mystere was also incredible. The way acrobats/dancers/ etc move their bodies is amazing. There were these 2 brothers who performed agonizing tests of strength...and the moves were so slow. Even more painful I'd imagine.
Perhaps one of the most exciting parts of our trip was watching the Krispy Kreme shop in Excalibur hotel make, fry, and glaze their donuts. Mmmm. Although Ed and I aren't old enough to gamble legally, we still had some fun on the slots. Unlike Ed, I lost everything I put in. Not-so-easy come, way-too-easy go. We'll have to go back when we're 21 - and this time with our friends. Wow, imagine that. One huge trip to Vegas. Craziness.
Ed, please post some of the pics you took. And now I'm off to go cough some more. Seriously, who the hell gets pneumonia in the summer??
