Reflections of Legalness
Well I am finally legal. It's very strange to think of myself as 18, an adult rather than a minor. I just hope it doesn't go too fast from here.
The past few days, primarily my birthday yesterday, have been rather enlightening to say the least. I was very disappointed in some I had relied on and pleasantly surprised by others who proved just how special and thoughtful they are. I'm not really comfortable with everything; in fact, I'm still rather upset. Perhaps I expected too much. But I really think I'm realistic in my expectations. Either way, disappointment - and concrete feelings of betrayel - still exist.
But tomorrow is Prom, and I really hope it serves as a nice end to what has been up till now a pretty crappy week. I really, really need it too...
