From the Huffington Post:
The Parents Television Council are claiming that a new Britney Spears single, "If You Seek Amy," is breaking broadcast decency laws when it is aired on the radio because the title said really fast sounds like its spelling out "F-U-C-K me."
At first I thought that was a bit of a stretch, but go check out the original article and a YouTube video
here. In the chorus, there's the line:
But all of the boys and all of the girls are begging to If You Seek Amy
Go ahead a listen to the song since it repeats the line. The first time, try to hear it as if you're expecting it one way, and the next time, try to hear it as if you're expecting to hear it the other way. Both times you'll convince yourself that you're right. Kind of cool, huh?
It's actually brilliant, if you ask me. Parents can simply tell their children the right lyrics and avoid any problems, but everyone else can enjoy the naughtiness. It's always fun to hid dirty stuff in plain sight.
Now if the PTC wanted to protest that the song shouldn't be aired because it's just a flat out crappy song, well, I might be more inclined to agree with them.
