Yes, a Scion update in only a week!
baronsamedi is so wanting to play Scion that we scheduled an extra session this week. We started off with a fight and ended with a new house with lots of security.
Set be damned! I hate undead. Oh, they're easy enough to hit. I can hit just about anything. I just cannot seem to scratch a damn one of them! It takes about ten punches before I can actually hurt something. So, the mummy things came after us. We met them in the stairwell of the hotel. Luckily there was plenty of room. I dove over the railing at them, and actually hit and did a little damage. After that I was pretty useless. At least I didn't get hit. Cesar, the crazy man he is, was hanging off from the railing and firing down into them. That actually worked well. Storm was slicing with his sword, Jacob was tripping them up with his staff, and Helena was stabbing with her knife. Kamarina got in a few bites and Sam had a couple of lucky shots.
Eventually we took all five of them down, gathered up their dust, which is useful if someone is really, really hurt. You can mix it up and put them into a type of suspended animation. Then we had to deal with the authorities. Thankfully Sam is good a forgery. He was able to talk his way through everything. We decided we had better move... of course after I'd set up the damn ward. I swear... this is the last time. We thought that dealing with Apep's people would be easier than trying to find Julian. I suggested that we find a house, since they decided on a house to use as a base while we're here, near the Zoological Gardens. Yes, I have my reasons. Besides, it's near the Palace and a nice secluded area. Sam and I did most of the organizing, since we're the only ones who speak Arabic. I took Helena to a local security store and she bought everything we needed to secure the house.
I stopped by the zoo and spoke to the cat keepers as well as the cats themselves. I thought if I knew them, they might come to my aid if I called. Kamarina was a little upset, but she understood. I cast ANOTHER ward, this time on the house. I can't do this much more. Helena got all the cameras and stuff in place. Now we have a fortress. Let's see them try and come in here.
