It's basically a social networking site, except that theoretically it allows you to get paid. And it's not really dangerous. When I signed up they didn't ask for any kind of credit card information or any other information that could be used for financial fraud. Just very basic stuff like name and e-mail. And when you think about it if paying their users allows them to increase their advertising revenue it's entirely possible for it to be a win win situation.
