Seto quietly ground his teeth at the insinuation that the previous Duel Dome had been poorly designed and constructed. Yugi's duel had annoyingly been massive forces of magic at work, as much as he hated admitting anything was magic, he really did refuse to take the blame for very real Duel Monsters from the Shadow Realm cutting a swathe of destruction through his theme park. It had been cited as an earthquake and freak conditions publicly

"Yes, well, without the millennium items I doubt any real summoning will plague you Kaiba-boi. Not many people these days practice magic, and even fewer have the breeding to stand up to using it without... well that's neither here nor there is it? Oh! Is that where you keep the fireworks for the shows?"
They were passing a locked door with rather obvious warning signs on it. Pegasus went and peered into the little gridded window to see if he could figure out what needed locking away. Anything with a hazard sign on it of course was a Pegasus magnet. It was probably why Kaiba with his toxic attitude could never seem to get rid of him.
"Your architect called me a few times, you had the poor fellow absolutely in tears demanding to know why you were the one in charge of the design team. I did my best to encourage him to stay and finish the project, but I do have my doubts after all."
Kaiba had no sympathy for the poor architect. The man had kept coming up with compromises, and not taking on board what it was he was trying to achieve. The man had wanted him to ditch the dragon form of the dome, and he couldn't very well do that when the first dome had been one now could he? The man was trying to make his life easier and he wasn't going to put up with a half assed job.
"I refused to have corners cut, I wanted this done right. I refused to let him do things the quick and easy way, it was going to be perfect first time. I do not want to have to rebuild again in future."
He led Pegasus to an executive elevator that would take them up to the highest levels, and give them access to the catwalks.
"I'm sure you've done a splendid job as usual, especially with young Mokuba to help you. This is partly your project too, isn't it dear boy? You seem to be quite involved. It's not really my idea of fun spending your summer break working but then I suppose I'm just not one to consider tinkering with computers and blueprints fun."
Pegasus was eagerly following along after Kaiba and now had his attention on his spikey haired little shadow. Mokuba was always put on such a bright and cheerful front, he wondered how much of it was just a mask to counter Kaibas natural gloominess.
"How old are you now young Mr.Kaiba? You're not in highschool yet?"
It was hard for Pegasus to tell and he really didn't remember. To him Mokuba would always be the scared but feisty little kid he'd had Croquet abduct, and he was still surely just as short, although most everyone in Japan was quite short compared to Pegasus.
"We've designed the dome together. Seto's been teaching me how everything works. I really enjoy it. And its better than summer school." He grinned.
"That's because you hate geography." Kaiba remarked as the elevator doors opened.
"And maths is just evil."
"A good understanding of maths and physics helps in the principles of the code underneath game design. You will want that if you really do want to do your own games design when you are older."
"Maths still stinks." Mokuba protested.
"Mokuba, you are fourteen now, you need to take school seriously."
"Fine, I still don't have to like it."
Mokuba felt like pulling a face at Seto, but he wasn't twelve anymore, so focussed on Pegasus instead.
"I think Mokuba is right. Maths surely are evil, though sometimes a little evil goes a long way."
Pegasus said with a smile on his face. Though it quickly faded when he realized how old the boy was and how old that made him feel.
"Heavens, where has the time gone to? Why you're just as old as I was when I started out in business. Your brother here is doing well to get you more involved."
He was slightly taken aback at how well the pair were doing on their own and how mature they'd gotten over the last few years. Time really did seem to slip by without him noticing. Pegasus himself never seemed to change.
"The drive has come from Mokuba." Kaiba said with a soft smile, and a touch of pride. "He has been the one bugging me to get more involved."
"Kaiba Land was our dream Seto, not just yours. If I am to take a hand in Kaiba Land I need to get involved in the company. So I have to learn how to handle the business."
Kaiba smiled.
"You are very good at the technological side too." He praised his younger sibling. "Its nice to be able to leave someone I trust doing things like that."
