Tired of dreaming of rest...

I can't believe how tired I am. I've been having some difficulties getting up in the morning. Thankfully it's only a three-day week, or else I don't know what I'd do. I received a letter from Ithaca College today. Hoping it was an acceptance letter, I eagerly opened it in anticipation of admission, but no - It was a graph showing me that I didn't send them some test scores. So, I went online and took care of that. I don't know why I got all overwhelmingly excited over that because the chances of me going there are probably 2%. There are at least 5 other schools that I would rather attend, and think I can get into.

Well, since my mother is at some conference tonight, I was on my own for dinner. I hopped in my car with an album I haven't listened to in a long time. It was The Smashing Pumpkins' "Adore." Billy Corgan never fails to impress me - not just with his unique voice, but also his sense of melody. I swear he can turn any riff into a melodic whirlwind of bliss. Well, sort of. That's when they started using synth more. It pleases me that they didn't overuse it. Sometimes when a band just begins implementing electronic music they go overboard with it.

I've written a new song that I think has a unique flavor to it. I'm hoping that it doesn't sound as forced as my other recent material, but the way things have been going, it should be pretty good. I don't have any real inspiration for it. Only my own self. Now before this post becomes all existential, I will leave it. Auf Wiedersehen...I need to learn more languages.
