To wake up and read news about American soldiers humiliating and torturing Iraqis just breaks my heart. Right as we were "justifying" our invasion, something like this happens. Most world leaders have already denounced our country, saying "Shame on America" and that we only support freedom and rights for our own citizens. I think it's both ironic and despicable that we are using the very same torture chambers Saddam Hussein used prior to his capture. The whole thing just confuses me. I feel like we've all been lied to and deceived. Indeed, Bush better think of something good to pull us out of this rut because right now I'm not very proud to be an American.
