Another fandom collision...
I'll be frank. I love the Gilmore Girls. I love the banter and the references and the fact that I feel smarter because I get some/most of them (except the music ones, I am horrible with music unless it's of the showtune variety)
There is a group of writers hell bent on keeping Gilmore Girls alive after the Season 7 finale, and they have collaborated to write fanfic in "episodes" as though the show hadn't been taken off the air. http://virtualgilmore.squarepins.org/episodes/vs8.php
Anyway, I was amused that Pushing Daisies became a pop reference in Episode 8.08... Here's what they have to say... Made me giggle.
"You know, between the kissing through the plastic wrap and the using a wooden hand to pet the dog and the Jim Dale voice-overs and the Kristin Chenoweth, this show may be too quirky even for us."
"Well, the Chenoweth does come with her very own Sam's Club-sized vat o'quirky."
"Which is probably bigger than she is," Rory laughed.
