I'm not entirely sure why it's so difficult for me to remember that I did this, but yeah this really happened:
In 7th Grade, I wrote, directed, and produced my class' rendition of A Christmas Carol, which we enacted for the fourth graders. I and my classmate had a small cameo at the start, as two old women that ask Scrooge for charity money, only for him to yell at us.
I remember nothing else except that one of our props was a bowl of fruit. I don't know why I'm fixated on that bowl of fruit.
I also remember that when the Ghost of Christmas Future showed up (played by Damien Whitmore with a black sheet wrapped around him like a cape, after he had hit puberty and so was about 6' and built like a linebacker), all the fourth graders started screaming in terror.
If nothing else, I think I will always remember that I scared the piss out of a bunch of fourth graders.
I want that noted on my gravestone.
