I'm in Jakarta

I arrived on Friday. It's a bit crazy coming to terms with life in a new country and living away from home for the first time.

I'm a bit lazy to go into detail and I only have an hour of internet access (I'm at a KFC as I write this). So you get this summary instead:

Canberra - Sydney : fine
Sydney airport: freaking out thinking I'm going to miss the place. I ending up running full speed to the counter only to find that the plane had been delayed anyway. Then I realised that I'd left my wallet at customs and had to walk back for it. I made the flight though.
Sydney - Jakarta: uneventful. Met my house mate Sam, another teacher at AIS.
First full day: Saw the school and everything I had to do. Met my other house mate Sarah (who is here with me at KFC on the internet.)
Second day: went to the shops.
Third day: Caught taxi on my own for the first time. Went to drink at a local bule bar (a bar for foreigners) with Sarah. Got free beer because of my mostache (it was a one night gimick thingy).
Today: Got on internet and KFC and wrote to you. I rode here on a motorcycle (they are EVERYWHERE in jakarta) which is quite an experience. You wouldn't believe the traffic here. Being driven here is like playing one long game of chicken.
