a lot has happened. last weekend i went camping in the shennandoa valley in virginia on the appalacian trail under the heavens. it was a blast. georgeous weather the day we got there, good hiking, and good camping. we diddnt catch any fish (it was a flyfishing movement order with the mountaineering club) but we still had a blast. Ev went with me, as well as a few other friends. when we woke up in the morning there was 4 inches of snow on the ground. and it was still snowing hard. one of the most unbelievable rapid weather changes ive ever seen. maybe one of these days i will quit bein lame and get the pictures on my site.
This past week i have been reading a lot of 'A Prayer For Owen Meany' and it is really quite good. it is enjoyable to read. it is the reason that i have decided that i will start a journal and actually try to keep up with it. ive always wanted to keep a journal, ever since rollwagen told us we should, but never really have. i realize the irony of saying this in my journal. its a strange phoeneomenon that we keep in touch with our friends by never actually talking to them, but telling them (never directly) what we have done or what we are doing while we are "away." at any rate, i decided i had been having too many thoughts that i diddnt want to forget i was having, so i should write them down. im excited about it.
Tonight i got to disc jockey at the naval academy radio station. not many people listen to it, and midshipmen can dj if they want whenever, and one of friends had a show, so a few of us went down there with him. after his show was over, the people with the next slot diddnt show up, so kyle and i just took over the air for an hour and a half. we are hoping to develop personalities and more depth to our show, as well as get an official time slot. it was fun very much.
i will spend the rest of this weekend cleaning for a room inspection, because "the plebes in 19 are not doing their job." a few people failed their daily inspections so we have to spend sunday cleaning. i dont mind so much because we are going to have to do it again on the 21. speaking of which, classes are almost over. three more weeks of actual school. kinda crazy. well i think im going to go read or clean some more, probably both.

on a seperate note, here is a little protest for the protestors. warning: it is a little crude, and has the same tone as the refrigerator art critic, for those of you who know what i am talking about, so beware.
