My back.

This saturday will be my last day at Burger King. Why? Because I fell and injured myself pretty badly and they seem to think that I can still work, and my managers are the type to bully/guilt trip people into working and I'm the type that they can do it far to easily too.

SO info about HOW THE HELL I got hurt: It was about 12:40AM, we had closed and I was taking apart the shake machine to be cleaned. I had it all apart and I was carrying a bucket of the parts (Note small bucket light parts) to the sink to be washed and I slipped in a rather large puddle of water and fell, Landed with my full weight on the small of my back and then I hit my head. The first thing I hear is the closing cook, Jose` say is "Shit. Shit, shit, shit, KEITH!" Keith is my assistant manager and the closing manager for that night.

Keith comes running out of the back office and sees me lying on the floor. He asks me all of the "normal" questions like "Can you move, do you need to go to the hospital?" and when he asks me this the first thing that pops into my head is the word "money" and I say that I don't but I'm in a lot of pain. So he and I go to the back office (Get those thoughts out of you're heads NOW) and fill out the "Incident report" paper. To make a long story short. The next day I go to their work care place (Where people go if they've been hurt at work) They took 5 X-rays of my back. My L5 (My VERY LAST vertebrae has been dislocated and there is a crack in the connecting bone. A week later they take 2 more X-Rays of my back to see if my L5 is stable, as in it's not moving when I bend and it is. it's moving 3 millimeters, I don't need surgery but I will be placed in Physical Therapy to strengthen my pelvis area to keep my L5 from moving and all that fun shit.

These are my Working Restrictions to date: No lifting more the 5LBS, no twisting, no turning, no bending, No standing for more then 5-10 min, no sitting for longer then 45min and I am to be laying down most of the time. I have become a useless human.

Well that's all I have to say today.

pain, update, ouch
