Sports are a costly thing to be invested in.
Growing up I was a baseball fan. I went to many Padre games and participated in little league. What is great about baseball is that it is easy to brush off a loss. What is great about baseball is that it is easy to hype up a win.
In the latter half of my life I have been primarily a football fan. I must say that being a football fan is a lot harder on the emotions. Every game is so big and and the investment is much larger. I have had my highs and low lows during wins and losses. I am consciously getting better and better at dealing with football. I have learned lessons and am building. I dealt with a horrendous loss yesterday perfectly fine. Sure, I cursed at the TV during the game. But after, I took a breath and moved on. I had a nice dinner party with Jenna's friends. It's progressing. I am progressing.
I think the Chargers are done for the year. Oh well.
