Title: Promises Rating: PG Words: 6,838 Warnings: Futurefic, slightly angsty, unbeta-ed cause I got too impatient to wait for it to come back to me. -_-
I'm back, bearing something that might look like coherence. (It isn't.)
asldkfjgfjsdfgj I AM SO PROUD OF MY DAUGHTER. Really, this was just so awesome, KC - it flows so naturally and the dialogue OMG the dialogue killed me. I don't know how you write such great dialogue. And your Atobe got through as so very IC, I am still in awe. You keep saying that you like my writing style better than yours but OMG that is so not fair, because this is so good, and now I don't know if I should feel angry or flattered that you say something like that about me. Honestly, apart from that one spelling mistake I pointed out in my earlier comment, this was just perfect. You've said before how you tend to go towards drama and this proves it, and it's just so well-written. Just, it's awesome.
“Can you please put me down?” he grumbled. “This is the last time I’ll be walking off the court as a professional and I’d prefer to do it with my own two feet.” I love, love, love, love this line. Seriously. This is so much like Ryoma and it makes his feelings come through in such a vivid way - I can totally empathize with him (except from the fact that I've never played in Wimbledon, but that's just an unimportant detail :P)
Just, I love this. No wait, let me rephrase that - I love you. First for writing this, second for making Sanada the first word. I am so in love with him. (And your icon - L is my other ideal man XD XD *___________*) ♥♥♥
We seem to be making a habit of writing huge comments to each other's fics, don't we. XD
Haha, I hope you at least had fun to warrant the hangover. ;)
Your praise is totally stroking my ego though I'm regretful I don't think I deserve half of it. I'm still (yes, still) debating whether I like this fic or not, though it usually leans towards not just because I don't think I conveyed what I wanted to. But I'm glad at least the characters weren't too off their personalities. And I'm no expert at dialog but I hope it was interesting enough for people to keep reading.
Anyway, Mom, you're supposed to praise your daughter and give me lots of encouragement even when you think it sucks. :P
I had to throw Sanada in there just because he's ... well, Sanada. :D
L is awesome, isn't he? I love DN.
Yeah, our responses keep getting longer and longer! :D
