Now that the first half of the season has finished for most of the series, I have mixed feelings. With some shows Im terribly dissapointed, with others Im happy.
Fringe
My God, the first half was so freakin good. Everything, the story, the pace and how the characters were developed. The plot about two alternate universes, exploring each one in

Fringe. Agree with all of that and both the Emmy and Golden Globe people are morons. John Noble and Anna Torv are rocking dual roles, getting no love (like Nina Dobrev on TVD). Everything with the mythology and the AltU is hitting on all cylinders, making for an immensely entertaining show.
The shippy stuff. My problem is I struggle to ship by default. Not that I don't like Mulder and Scully, or Castle and Becket.. or Peter and Olivia but really, what/who are the other real alternatives? (See also poor Chloe, with Clark being the only game in town so long). Anyway that lack of character dynamic makes it a little harder for me to get invested in the ship cause it's not like Peter and Astrid are a viable option IMO.
That said, agree but Peter said he noticed things he just rationalized them. And part of that was b/c of their changing dynamic, his coming back to her so he figured she was different b/c they were. Agree you'd think he'd notice and I think it is a HUGE obstacle to their future relationship. It can be repaired, move forward maybe even love some day, but never the same. JMHO.

Let's see: Yeah, GG and Emmy total morons... Ana defninitely deserved at list the nomination. Same John Noble, both have been awsome this season playing two characters.
About the ship stuff Im going to disagree with you. For me is kind of refreshing not to have Peter and Olivia involved in triangles, considering most of the shows go that route. Here I've found a very interesting relationship, that doesn't escape from conflict, it has had, a lot this season, but has been beautifully managed, IMO. Plus, if we want to be strict, there was a triangle: Olivia/Peter/AltOlivia.
Im very interested to see were they go from here.

Hard to explain, but few shows or characters make me very shippery. I was just starting to feel that way on Castle, then TPTB zapped it with contrived "other people" nonsense alongside 3rd party propping that bugged me. Trying to think of other shows. Jake 2.0 is one that I did ship the default couple, just liked their chemistry and relationship (even though the show started with a different set-up, kinda triangular). With Fringe, I do see it and feel it and kinda want it.. but at the same time, I just don't "ship" them that intensely. Maybe that's a better explanation?
