i like to get up early and clean and watch the news.
Google Reigns and Holds Them, Too
the news just told me that "google is the biggest thing to happen to the information world (?) since the printing press." that's a pretty steep accusation... but then again, it is kind of a verb now. "oh yeah! i googled that guy the other day and found all these porn sites, weird." they were comparing google to yahoo and saying how google is blowing all the competitors' search engines out of the way, and mentioning that their stocks went down a little bit this week so maybe it'll die out too. but google has been around for awhile, and it's a damn good search engine. even just the presentation of the site. go to yahoo.com and go to google.com- in this world of too much information at once, it's nice to have a simple white screen with a playfully colored "google" and just a simple box to type your request in. and then on top of it, if you don't feel like scanning through millions of results, you can hit a button to go to the first one right away! it's refreshing, really. so i think until a new, cuter search engine pops up into the world wide web, google is going to keep doing just fine. better than the f.ing daily jolt that i couldn't keep up.
High Speed Car Chase!
also on the news they showed this car chase, and the guy drove down a highway the wrong way to try to escape and crashed into a car. the woman in the other car got out and started hitting his window and screaming. this reminded me of something. a few weeks ago a girl i went to high school with (who works at a gas station) got robbed at gunpoint. she gave the man the money from the cash drawer and then as he was leaving she picked up a can of oil and threw it at him, hitting him in the head. she threw something at a man with a gun! my mom saw her the other day and asked what she was thinking to make her do that and she goes, "well, i don't know, he was stealing, and that made me angry!" girls rule.
i feel more awake now. i've been eating too much lately, i must stop that. the stress gets to me.
