January was a spectacular month. It's been absolutely crazy, but all in good ways!
The two best things both happened on the same day:
1. My sister gave birth to handsome baby Max about 5 weeks early. He's quite honestly the cutest baby the world has ever seen. And very lucky to have such an awesome family to be part of. His parents went through quite a bit of stress having him early - he had to spend the first couple of weeks in the NICU, but I think he's doing awesome now. Even when he's this little & doesn't really do much but eat, sleep & poop - I still could spend hours holding him or talking nonsense. Totally makes me want one of my own, but all in good time! It's not as easy as they make it look, so I definitely am okay with waiting a little while longer.
2. And that same day, I ended up getting my promotion! Granted it's not much of a promotion, but it is more money & that's always a good thing. I got a ton of congrats from my coworkers throughout the company, so that was pretty awesome. I feel like I'm doing a good job, even though I'm still kinda shaky about public speaking. And I love my boss, but she makes me all kinds of nervous. On days like today, it feels like she doesn't really trust me completely and that I can't disagree with her of find my own way without her disapproving. I shouldn't be saying stuff like that because she really did push for me to get this raise, but still it sucks sometimes.
Other than that, I'm still keeping up with the housework & working out for the most part. I did take a couple weeks off when The Burning Crusade came out for WoW and my blood elf rogue is now lvl 23 :) And I've missed a few things here or there because something came up, but the intention is there & that's what counts. Oh & I bought myself a planner at Franklin Covey (LOVE organization!) and a couple pairs of new jeans at the Limited. I got new glasses & a new haircut too. Um...what else...OH! I saw the new 007 movie & I LOVE the new Bond. He's 2nd only to the great Sean Connery.
Okay, that's a good note to leave this on! Oh & GO BEARS! :)
