Wheee....update time!
Well, I've been a bad girl this week. I only worked out three times this week. I had a good excuse for one of the times I missed, but the others I should have pulled together & did it anyway. And I ate rather badly this weekend too & I could have made better choices. But I'm forgiving myself & going back to healthy living again, at least until Thanksgiving when all bets are off. I'll try to stay good over the holiday, it'll just be harder!
The meetings this week went really well. I'm excited about the possibility of change, but I just hope that we don't drag our heels too long. We narrowed our choices down to two from three, but then Karen wants us to bring in another company (which seems pointless to me). It's looking very possible that I may end up going somewhere in Texas & Las Vegas next year in addition to Boston & San Diego. I wouldn't mind going, but I'd rather that they make up their minds instead. Oh & I think TRF is going to be in Palm Springs, so maybe I'd get to go there next summer if my normal job doesn't keep me too busy.
I got together with Erica this Friday. We had a good time, but I wasn't much in the mood to drink. I had to wake up early on Saturday for a tourney in Rockford, so I didn't want to stay out late. Plus, I think the Vytorin is affecting my tolerance for alcohol. After 2-3 drinks, I was starting to feel icky from the alcohol...not that it was making me drunk, just that the taste was making me nauscious. And the next morning I was all achy & food bleh. Not really hung over, but not feelin great.
The Rockford tourney was really a ton of fun. I went 2-2 and so did Patrick & Joe (I think). And most of the people there were very nice & good sports. We had a couple of whiners, but eh well. Met some really nice guys from Madison that I hope we'll get to see again. It was cool, I actually got involved in WarMachine conversations with these guys & didn't feel like I was stupid. :) And they gave me some good pointers that I hope I'll remember to use. I'm sure that we'll be back up there again before too long. They're holding a tourney with the coins as prizes in May I think. And there was some talk of monthly games too.
I'm really looking forward to a three day week at work. And all the yummy Thanksgiving food that we'll eat next weekend! We're going to Patrick's folks on Thanksgiving & then we're going to my sister's on Saturday. I'm excited about seeing my folks again for the first time since the wedding. We'll go through the pictures & figure out what ones we want extra prints of. And we'll get to give them their souvenir from Disney. And give Tam her birthday present too.
Anyways, that's enough of an update for this week. I'm gonna throw a load of laundry in & get started on dishes. Then maybe some Sims or read some more Wicked...eventually I'll finish that book!
