Advice Post! For all participants!

Hello everyone!

So I've noticed as the forms come in that we have QUITE a few people that are brand new to this type of thing! We thought we'd make a post here where newbies and veterans can come and either give or get advice. A lot of people are nervous about it and I thought this might help everyone out a bit. :)

Happy fic chatting!

I've always watched bigbangs/reversebangs happen but I've never participated in one. Any advice for a n00b like me? :3 I signed up as a writer.

Which brings me to my next question (for the mods), I asked this on tumblr but I figured asking here wouldn't hurt either: I signed up as a writer but in the comment section I was going to write that I could offer some drawing skills if needed too. I couldn't because I signed up on my phone and wouldn't let me for some reason. So what do I do? :/

Hi! If you'd like to put your drawing skills to use (and we can ALWAYS use more artists) Just go ahead and sign up again as an artist.

Hello, I signed up as an artist yesterday and this is probably the third time I've contacted you with questions...but first I'd like to say I already have two drawings in my head and a possible third. But the third idea is a bit more risque...sexual subjects are not discouraged are they? I'm guessing no but want to make sure. Also, can we start as soon as possible or do I need to wait for a start date or for people to sign off on my subjects?

Go right ahead and start! Risque' is not discouraged at all. That's fine!

Hi! Reverse bangs are simply the following: An artist draws something they get inspired by, it gets posted; an author claims it, then we match the author and the artist up. It's any genre, it simply must be Kurt and Blaine. Prompts are optional, it's entirely up to the artist what they want to draw, prompts are there in case people get stuck or have no ideas. You sign up for one, depending on how many art pieces and authors we have will determine the amount of pieces written, etc. We alert both the artist and the author when they've been paired.

Hope that answers everything! If not, head on over to our Tumblr page, a lot of similar questions are there.

*waves* Hi there!
Newbie to the whole reverse!bang thing and I was wondering, will you guys be doing posts to remind people of deadlines and stuff once the writing part starts? (I signed up as a writer only, because no art skillz) I'm one of those crazies who have like a million things going at the same time and generally find it helpful to get prods and alerts, so I don't procrastinate too much ;)
Or, a question for seasoned participants: how do you keep on track with the deadlines?

Hi! We will definitely send out emails for a check-in or two, same as artists.
