So, yesterday night, my brother gets home. Before coming in, he sees a cat perched on the bin next door. He lures it over, then slides our door closed before it gets there, screaming "DENIED!!!"
An hour later, my brother leads it away. After ten minutes, he comes back. Twelve minutes later, so did it.
Eventually, my cat-hating dad relents to my mom and brother's pleas, and the cat is allowed in. It is a young tortoise-shell female. It continues mewling at us. We eventually leave it back in the front after feeding it. It continues mewling.
This morning, it was sitting under a car in the driveway. My parents relent, and tell me to take it into the back garden. We've just come home, and it's still there. It's obviously someone's cat, since the moment it sees a box of Wiskas Pouches it gets VERY attentive. After feeding it, it tried to scratch a hole in the kitchen floor, thinking it was a litter-box (vaguely sand-coloured floor-tiles).
So, we've been temporarily adopted by a cat. Advice is welcome.
