I much prefer having an audience - doing multiple takes of the same scene without any feedback sucks a lot of the joy from it for me - it makes it feel too much like work.

No shit. I was up at 5:30 yesterday for a 7am call time. I didn't actually shoot anything until 1pm. Completely unnecessary.
