So, I feel like I adopted a kid. Well, 12 of them...

So, I was called in to work tonight on short notice to help w/ the parent meeting for the Belvidere Hoops program. It was me, Retha, and our boss taking care of everything and then our boss told us one of the teams didn't have a coach.

So, Retha and I stepped up and now I've got twelve 4th and 5th graders that I need to teach basketball to. Fun, huh? Well, atleast we're getting paid for it, unlike the other coaches in the league.

I mean, it's cool because I can remember playing Hoops back in the day, and I'm sure many of you can as well. It was a pretty fun league. And it's not like the other coaching I do for the park district, where it's basic fundamentals and then "Go get 'em!". It's an actual league. Points are kept, stats are taken...wins and losses. It's going to be great. I think Retha and I will do a good job, or at least I hope so. Our games are going to be on Sunday mornings at the River's Edge building in the park if anybody is interested in coming and cheering us on...

Well, that does it for now.

Until next time,

Baars
