inthevast, who put out a call for more fics this afternoon and I came up with this little delight. I doubt I'lll win anything but I thought, what the hell. Why not give it shot! Thanks Vast!
Kristen sat at the small bistro in Hollywood, idly sipping a bottle of water and watching the passersby. Heroes filming had begun a few weeks ago and she was excited to be playing Elle, who was almost opposite of Veronica but also a lot like her in other ways as well. But even with the new character, a different show to keep her mind busy and seeing her BFF Zach more often, Kristen couldn’t help but wonder what life would have been like in Veronica Mars, Season 4.
Would Keith have been mayor? Would it be sophomore year of college or the starting year at the FBI? Where would Logan and Veronica be in their relationship?
‘Jason…’ she mused. They hadn’t seen each other since the fateful day when Rob broke the news that they were cancelled and then again at the cast farewell party a few days after. She had heard that he landed a show on CBS, called Moonlight. Something about a vampire as a private investigator? In Kristen’s mind, it sounded like a cheap knock-off of Angel.
As she got up to recycle the now empty bottle of water, she caught a glimpse of a familiar mahogany colored head and just as soon as she verified who she thought it was, she called out his name.
“Jason!”
It was a stroke of luck, but in the din of the Los Angeles traffic, he heard her. Jason turned and gave a quick wave along with a signature smirk before crossing the busy street.
Kristen stood there for a while, just looking at the spot where he had stood for a fraction of a second. Maybe her day was finally looking up. Sometime, she had to talk Zach to go with her to a CBS network party.
‘Maybe,’ she thought ‘I should add Moonlight to my TiVo.’
